Mission Aviation Fellowship usually referred to as MAF is a Christian organisation, whose mission is to operate light aircraft in remote places where flying is not a luxury, but a real lifeline.
Every three minutes one of MAF planes takes off or lands somewhere in the world. On board are dedicated teams bringing medical care, supplies and Christian hope to communities struggling to survive amidst poverty, conflict or natural disaster.
Flying across deserts, jungles, swamps and mountains, they reach places that might otherwise remain cut-off because of impassable or non-existent roads.
MAF is a worldwide partnership operating over 120 aircraft from bases in more than 30 countries.
Serving over 2,500 destinations, they help aid and development agencies, missions, national churches and other local groups bring relief and healing for body, mind and spirit.

The Bible Society
Millions lack the Bible in a language they can understand, in a form they can use or at a price they can afford.
The Bible Society’s vision is to see a day when the Bible’s God-given revelation, inspiration and wisdom is shaping the lives and communities of people everywhere.
The society works in partnership with 140 other national Bible Societies throughout the world, helping them respond to the needs and opportunities they face.
In England and Wales they work with the media, politics, arts and education to show how the Bible connects with life. They resource and help church members have confidence in the Bible by living it out.
They have programmes to make the Bible available for prisoners, refugees and people in special need.
