Bitterne is more than just a 'Sunday Church'
Our fellowship extends far wider. Groups for everyone include ...
Home Groups meet in various people's homes around the area to study the
Bible together, pray and to socialise. They meet every couple of
weeks at different times and on different days to suit different people.
If you would like to join a Home Groups one of the Staff will be able to
advise you which one might be best for you.
Alpha is a
course which looks at the basics of Christianity. Click
here for more information.
'Coffee
Pot' welcomes you for coffee or tea and a chat on Monday mornings from 10-12am, and on Thursdays from 12-2pm for Soup, Cheese Rolls and Fruit. There's also a good selection of Fair Trade goods and cards on sale. It's in the Church Room behind Holy Saviour just off the Bitterne Precinct. Do come and join us - you'll find a friendly welcome.
The
Mothers Union in Bitterne is a lively and active group
who meet once a month on the second Tuesday of each month at 9.45am,
normally in the Wesley Centre.
The Bitterne Women's Open Group meets on the third Wednesday of
each month at 7.30pm. The evenings are mainly social, usually with a
speaker on anything from crafts to travel, health work to missionary work,
hobbies to local history.
The ecumenical Bitterne Men's Group encourages and supports men seeking to live out
their Christian faith at home, at work and at leisure. They meet on
the third Thursday of each month at 7.30 in the Church Room for
fellowship, visiting speakers and refreshments.
Also for
Men, Time Out meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 8pm in members
home, in a pub - or somewhere else. They enjoy trips out, eating out
together, social evenings, discussions, debate and visiting speakers. |
